Commissioned by CBC’s Brave New Waves during the 2004 Suoni Per Il Popolo festival, this live recording unites the efforts of both founding members of Cian Ethrie (Francis Amireault and marcello Marandola) along with those of Teruki Tamayanagi, Simon Bélair and Léon Lo. The record begins with Tamayanagi’s alchemical sleight-of-hand turning pretty guitar melodies into a golden bed of electronics. The recording’s following tracks offer up changing arrangements of electronics, violin, clarinet, percussions and guitars and nary a right angle in sight. A memorable and unparalleled display of communal communication and raw sensitivity.
